UK Ski and Snowboard Shows

As the temperature drops feet are getting itchy in excitement as everyone looks forward to the prospect of winter.

One of the best ways to get in the know about everything new and exciting for the 2011/12 ski season is by visiting one of the many ski shows held over the interseason. But how to choose? Luckily, Yodel is here to bring you what's happening and when throughout the next couple of months.

 

The Metrosnow Ski and Snowboard Show at Earls Court

This is the largest consumer winter sports show in the world with over 230 shops and stands. Over the long weekend there are great discounts, offers on ski holidays and the K2 Highest Ollie Tournament. The show squeezes in 4 bars, a fashion show and a 50ft hip kicker.

Wednesday 19th October 11am-7pm

Thursday 20th and Friday 21st October   11am - 10pm

Saturday 22nd    10am - 7pm

Sunday     10am - 6pm

 

The Big Bang Snowboard Show

Held at SNO!zones across the UK these shows offer the most comprehensive 'free' snowboard coaching programme, on the day discounts and will welcome names such as Johnny Miller, Alex Tank and Tom Klocker.

Saturday 24th September - Tamworth SnowDome

Saturday 1st October - Braehead Xscape SNO!zone 

Saturday 8th October - Milton Keynes Xscape SNO!zone

Saturday 15th October - Castleford Xscape Sno!zone

 

Relentless Freeze Festival

A popular ski and music festival held at the iconic Battersea Power Station. An impressive array of music includes Groove Armada, Zane Lowe, The Streets, Beardyman and Dub pistols. The Freeze Festival is also home to the LG Big Air World Cup.

Tickets are available for the whole weekend or individual days on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October.

 

Scotland's Ski and Snowboard Show 

Held at the SECC in Glasgow, Scotland's Ski and Snowboard Show is packed full of everything you need for the ski season. There is a live freestyle show, free ski lessons on their artificial ski slope, technical advice from industry experts and an apres ski bar.

Held on Saturday 15th and Sunday the 16th  of October.

 

The British Ski and Board Show

Supported by The Daily Telegraph this show promises to bring you the incredible Big Air freestyle and aerialist with World Cup Champions, Olympic stars and celebrities from around the globe. Throughout each day there are ice climbing walls and a cross country skiing course.

Held at the NEC in Birmingham from Friday 28th - Sunday 30th October.
